Imogen Goldie, Project Manager, Heritage Planning, presented the Introduction to the Downtown Guelph Heritage Conservation District Plan and Guidelines.

Alex Jaworiwsky, Manager, Tourism & Destination Development and Paul Hutchinson, Supervisor, Traffic Engineering presented on the Accessible On-Street Parking - Downtown Seasonal Patios.

    1. The Accessibility Advisory Committee receives the information on the Process for Moving Accessible Spaces during the Seasonal Patio Program, dated February 18, 2025. ​​
    2. The Accessibility Advisory Committee recommends that staff refer to the meeting on February 18, 2025 and consider the feedback provided at the meeting on the Process or Moving Accessible Spaces during the Seasonal Patio Program. ​

Chair Root presented the Mobility Transit Application Discussion.

    1. The AAC recommends that the city review the application process for the Mobility program in 2025, to address the length and invasive nature of the application and refer to the feedback given at the meeting on 2025-02-18. In addition, the AAC requests to be involved in a direct discussion with staff about this process during that review. The AAC also recommends that the application form should not request private medical information. 
    2. The AAC recommends that mobility transit passes should not expire for individuals with long term disabilities.

Chair Root presented the TaxiScrip Program General Discussion.

    1. The AAC recommends that the city review the application process for the TaxiScrip program in 2025 to expand eligibility and refer to the feedback given at the meeting on Feb. 18, 2025. In addition, the AAC requests to be involved in a direct discussion with staff about this process during that review.
    2. The AAC recommends that approval for mobility transit service should not be a requirement in order to apply for the TaxiScrip program.
