Call to Order

Mayor Guthrie called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Public Meeting to Hear Complaint Under Section 20 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 

2.1

Complainant

Justin Black, Robson Carpenter LLP, agent on behalf of 300 Water Street Inc. presented regarding the Development Charges Complaint for 300 Water Street.

2.2

Respondent

Allison Thornton, Associate Solicitor, Counsel for the Respondent provided a response to the presentation made by Justin Black, Agent on behalf of 300 Water Street Inc.

2.3

Complainant Response

Justin Black, Robson Carpenter LLP, Agent on behalf of 300 Water Street Inc. provided a response to the presentation made by Allison Thornton, Associate Solicitor, Counsel for the Respondent.

Mayor Guthrie stated that the Complainant Response be limited to responses only, and no new information be brought forward.

  Council shall now deliberate in closed session:
  As per Section 9(1) (b) or the Statutory Powers Procedure Act, intimate financial or personal matters or other matters may be disclosed at the hearing of such a nature, having regard to the circumstances, that the desirability of avoiding disclosure thereof in the interests of any person affected or in the public interest outweighs the desirability of adhering to the principle that hearings be open to the public.

Mayor Guthrie called the meeting to order. (8:11 p.m.)

Decision

Mayor Guthrie spoke regarding the matters discussed in closed session and identified the following:

Development Charges Complaint - 300 Water Street
That Council, sitting as the Tribunal, deliberated in closed session. They reserved their decision which will be rendered in writing as per the deadlines under Development Charges Act, Section 21.
