Call to Order

 

Chair Downer called the meeting to order. (6:01 p.m.)

Chair Downer recognized International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia and spoke to the City of Guelph’s commitment to standing against homophobia, transphobia and biphobia.

Lisa Duarte, General Manager, Strategic Communications and Community Engagement, introduced the members of the team and the evenings topic.
Laura Mousseau, Manager, Strategic Communications, spoke to the factors that influence the work of the communication and community engagement team.
Glen Lombard, Manager, Community Engagement, spoke to the framework for community engagement.  Then facilitated discussion with council in the likes and dislikes of reports that have come to council previously.

Alex Goss, Manager, Community Investment, spoke about the investments and community grants that are offered by the City.
