The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 12:02 p.m.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof

Member D. Waverman declared a conflict of interest with respect to item 3.1 331 Clair Road East - Cultural Heritage Evaluation Report as he was one of the authors of the original Cultural Heritage Evaluation Report.

12 Forbes Avenue - Proposed Demolition of a Non-heritage Structure Designated Under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, 2023-247

Jack Mallon, Heritage Planner, provided committee members with some background and additional information on 12 Forbes Avenue - Proposed Demolition of a Non-heritage structure.

  THAT Heritage Guelph provides the following advice to the Council of the City of Guelph with respect to the proposed demolition of the accessory structure at 12 Forbes Avenue:

  • • The accessory structure is a non-heritage structure and demolition should be permitted

Heritage Designation Consultation Process - 2023-219

Jack Mallon, Heritage Planner, presented the proposed Heritage Designation Consultation Process.

  THAT Heritage Guelph supports the proposed process for consultation with members on research and recommendations for designation of properties under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act and that members support the updates to the agenda as set out in the June 12, 2023 report.

Stephen Robinson, Senior Heritage Planner presented the 331 Clair Road East - Cultural Heritage Evaluation Report.
