Call to Order – 6:00 p.m.
 

Mayor Guthrie called the meeting to order (6:00 p.m.)

Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review: Proposed Parking Regulation Workshop, 2021-85

Krista Walkey, General Manager, Planning and Building Services, provided opening remarks for the workshop.

Glenn Pothier, Owner of GLPi and Facilitator, opened the workshop and provided an outline of the agenda.

Mike Crough, Associate Director, Practice Lead, Planning, IBI Group, presented information that was used to help design and develop the recommendations.

Peter Richards, Director, Senior Practice Lead, Transportation Engineering, IBI Group, presented information and trends gathered from locations throughout the City of Guelph and other comparable locations.

G. Pothier facilitated the "KnoWonder" exercise with Council.

G. Pothier facilitated a discussion around determining Council aspirations towards parking.

P. Richards and M. Crough presented the parking recommendations being made based on a number of categories; geographic-based parking, parking rates, residential driveway widths and bicycle parking.

G. Pothier took comments and questions from Council with regards to the recommendations that were presented.

Abby Watts, Project Manager Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review, provided information about next steps and closing remarks.

Mayor Guthrie provided closing remarks to the workshop.
