Clarification Questions:

  • What are the next steps in the designation process going forward? 
  • In Phase 1 of the Study is Heritage Guelph only voting to support the boundary?
  • Was there any pushback from adjacent property owners during consultation?
  • Did the consultation include the Guelph Junction Railway?
  • Were the landowners asked to comment on the heritage attributes?
  • If the municipal designations do not apply while the land is owned by the Province, what is the worst-case scenario? When would HCD protections apply?
  • Is there a record of who was consulted and when?
  • What is the timeline for the District Plan and Guidelines?
  • Were there any items identified in the area but decided to not include in this list? Is there a record of ones considered by WSP?
  • Why is the reservoir, south of Dunlop Street, Not being considered for inclusion?
